June 5, 2014 —
Following their regular meeting Tuesday evening, the Hudson City Council was given a tour of the new Center for Science and Industry in the old M&S Plant 1 building.
The Center is still coming together, with people and partners coming on board. Two brand-new machines for training were delivered last week, and new staff started this week. It is hoped that training will get under way on a limited basis soon,
The Center will serve high school students from Hudson and the surrounding schools, and specific training programs for adults.
Though much remains to be done, Program Manager Dan Rogers is pleased with what’s been accomplished so far.
In their regular meeting, the Council:
• Authorized the re-paving of the streets in Sunrise Meadows, to be done this summer.
• Approved the purchase and outfitting of a new police car
• Authorized the purchase of park benches and other outfitting for the Engle Trail, to be constructed this summer.
• Approved limiting parking on Summit Street to one side of the street.
