April 24, 2014 —
Did you notice all of the American Flags placed around town last year? Did you wonder how you could get one placed in your yard, or give one to someone else as a gift? Well wonder no more.
Once again the Hudson Kiwanis Club is going to be placing American flags all over the city!
Here is how it works: We will set up a 3’x5’ flag on a 10’pole in your yard for 5 holidays including Memorial Day, Flag Day, Independence Day, Labor Day through 9/11, and Veteran’s Day. We will set out the flag, pick it up, and store it for you between the holidays. You don’t have to do a thing. Just sign up and enjoy your flag.
Be a part of filling our community with Patriotic Color throughout the year. The cost for 2013 is $30 for the first flag and $20 for each additional flag, including flag gifts purchased for others.
You may place an order by mailing a check payable to Hudson Kiwanis Club along with your name, address, phone number, and also please include where you would like your flag(s) placed on your property to First Federal Bank, c/o Hudson Kiwanis Club Flag Project, PO Box 167, Hudson, MI 49247-0167.
You may also contact Jan Fisher at 517-448-2341, Charlie Mansfield at 517-448-5911, or any other Kiwanis member. We would be happy to help you, feel free to stop in and see any of us!
Proceeds from this project will be used to support the annual Christmas Basket food drive and high school senior scholarship rewards among other community centered events.
The Kiwanis would like to extend a big thank you to those who participated last year as they placed over 100 flags throughout the city!
