Christmas Cantata December 10-12

It’s that time of year again, when the Hudson Christmas Cantata under the direction of Cyndi Wolf, shown here in practice recently. The cantata will be performed at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 207 Market Street, Hudson, on December 10, 11 and 12, 2010. The concert times are 7:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday evenings and 3:00 p.m. on Sunday.

It’s Christmas Time and the Hudson Community Choir and Orchestra are prepared to once again present concerts to ring in the holiday season. This year’s cantata is called “A World of Christmas” and is a presentation by Joseph and Pamela Martin. This cantata tells the traditional Christmas story and also shares Christmas customs from around the world.

The cantata will be performed at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 207 Market Street, Hudson, on December 10, 11 and 12, 2010. The concert times are 7:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday evenings and 3:00 p.m. on Sunday.

The cantata will be directed by Cyndi Wolf. Jan Rickard will serve as pianist again this year. John Enerson and Don Turner are the narrators. Featured soloists are Pat Bacalia and Dave Rickard, along with Kathi Frank, Blaine Baker and Megan Rickard.

This is the 12th year for the Christmas Cantata and again there will be no charge for performances. Free will donations will be shared between the Cantata Choir and the Hudson Ministerial Food Bank.

This year’s program will be in memory of Beth Gibson and Jim Stephenson, both of whom had participating roles in previous cantatas.
