Vinyl Products USA is new Hudson business

May 25, 2011 —

Tony and Jami Edison cut the ribbon on their new storefront for Vinyl Products USA located at 119 E. Main Street Saturday morning with barbecue and a large gathering of community members.

Tony Edison is the owner of Edison builders, and has had distribution rights for Vinyl Products from Ranch Life products. “We had a booth at the fair last year, and it was promising enough that we thought having a new outlet for vinyl fencing in Lenawee County would work. We reinvested that money right back into it.”

Opening the storefront has been a unique opportunity for the Edisons: they have been very involved in their family life, and their daughter just finished first grade. “We’ve always been very involved with Briana’s life, and I wanted to continue to be able to volunteer at the school and stay involved,” said Jami. “It’s important for me to be able to continue that commitment to our daughter. I want to be involved 110%.”

” Our goal is to help people understand vinyl can be just as affordable as wood but lasts longer with very minimal upkeep,” says Jami. “There are no wood cores,” said Jami. “Because of that, they can’t warp or rot, and they stay beautiful.”

Being a local business with local suppliers is important to the Edisons. “It’s very important to us that we remain local,” said Jami. “The manufacturer for the product is in Michigan, and we chose them for that reason. We can also beat box stores for pricing, and you know you’re investing in the community.”

All of the products that Vinyl Products USA sells and installs have a 35 year warrantee against cracking or yellowing. “They’re pretty much maintenance free. Our products don’t get hot to the touch, either. Beauty that lasts forever, or close to it,” said Jami.

The fencing just had a rather unique stress test. “We put up 350 feet of privacy fencing in a backyard in Tecumseh last year. A little while later, a tornado went through, and the area had 80 mile an hour winds. We called the homeowner right afterward and asked how his fencing had held up, and he told us it hadn’t budged. We were very pleased,” said Jami.

The storefront for Vinyl Products USA is at 119 E. Main Street, in the same building as Ice Wraps and Bean Creek Interiors. Hours are still being decided upon, but the storefront will definitely be open Wednesday through Saturday; Wednesday through Friday will be 10-6, and Saturday will be 10-2. They are available by appointment anytime, and can be reached at 448-1889 or 673-5718.
