Council approves new fire agreement

October 5, 2011 —

Hudson became the last government entity in the county to approve a new fire agreement regarding such things as mutual assists. The city operated under a previous agreement from 1994 to 2009, when a new agreement was developed. While mutual aid was continued, there was no legal basis behind it.

The new agreement will change some procedures for calling mutual aid from other departments, such as tankers, the air truck, pumpers and manpower.

In other business, while meeting as the Board of Zoning Appeals, the Council took over an hour to find that Jason and Jamie Perry, owners of Skip’s Pub,were not in violation of an ordinance that seemed to ambiguously limit the number and type of recently posted signs, but did find that no sign permit had been requested.
