Window rehab at downtown workshop

August 14, 2014 —

Eriksen Development Company in partnership with the City of Hudson and Turner Restoration held a one-day, hands-on, historic window rehabilitation workshop on Sunday, August 10th. "The workshop was a tremendous success!" said Kathleen Eriksen. "I think the best part about the workshop was how it changed the mindset of the participants. They acquired an appreciation for historic windows over vinyl replacement and now understand how much a historic window really does affect the appearance of a historic property, while still retaining air flow. These windows are the eyes into the soul of the building, and the buildings tell the story of the city. They're worth restoring. The workshop also forged a camaraderie among the downtown property owners, while encouraging private investment into these significant structures. Win-win-win!"
