Delegates for the 2006 American Legion Boys’ State program left Hudson early last Sunday for East Lansing. All are sponsored by Hudson American Legion Post 180 with generous financial support from KECY  Manufacturing of Hudson,  Eagle Funeral Home, Hudson Kiwanis Club, County National Bank, United Bank and Trust, David Berlin and the Hudson Knights of Columbus.  A special "Thank You" goes to these great community supporters. Delegates are selected on the basis of leadership, character, citizenship, involvement and the capacity for service and include Joshua Williams, Kevin Harris, John Koser, Brandon Bailey and Reggie Kehoe. The week long experience includes direct involvement in the mechanics of the American political system and concludes with a traditional march to the State Capitol Building.

The American Legion Auxiliary has announced the representatives for the 2006 Girls State, which takes place at Michigan State University this week. Girls State representative sponsored by the American Legion Auxiliary are Ashley Hackett, Chelsea Baker and Rachel Schroeder. Other sponsors include Kecy Products, Rima Manufacturing Company, the Market House, Hudson Pharmacy, Hudson Friday Club, Molly and Ed Wolf, Chresteen Reuter and Eagle Funeral Home.
