Heather Hinesman Graduated . . .
with honors from
Olivet College,
Olivet, MI on May 20
with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Insurance and Risk Management. Heather
is employed as a commercial underwriter with Citizens Insurance, a
member of The Hanover Group in Howell MI. Heather is a 2003 graduate of
Hudson High School and the daughter of Mike and Linda Hinesman
of Hudson.
Timothy Shaw
Graduates
Clare
and Evelyn Monroe of Pittsford attended the graduation of
their grandson, Timothy Shaw from Woodridge High School in
Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. The ceremony was held in the Blossom Music Center
at 7:30 P.M. on June 5th. His junior and senior years Tim attended the
Manufacturing and Pre-Engineering Academy of the Six District
Educational Compact half days There he studied electronics, physics,
polymers, English, pre-calculus, and Cad-Cam. This year Tim received the
Academy's “Outstanding Technology Student of the Year” award.
He was a 4 year member of the Woodridge High School band and lettered in
Cross-Country and Track.
He will attend Ohio University in Athens, Ohio this fall where he us
enrolled in the Department of Engineering. Tim is the son of Michael
and Joanne (Monroe) Shaw. Also attending from away were
Tom Monroe of Evanston, Illinois; Douglas and Marian Shaw
of Cadillac, MI, Tim's other grandparents and Jim and
Cindy Monroe of Traverse City, MI.
50th Wedding Anniversary Celebrated
Mr.
and Mrs. Dean Garwood of Hudson, celebrated their 50th wedding
anniversary.
Dean Garwood
and Joyce Emmons were married on June 16, 1956 in the Seneca
Church by the Rev. C. J. Johns, grandfather of Mr. Garwood. They
have 6 children, Debra (James) Bills of Hudson, Michael
(Loretta) Garwood of Morenci, Nancy (James) Jarrell of
Niceville, FL, Steven (Melissa) Garwood of Adrian, Sheryl
Garwood of Hudson and Richard Garwood of Tucson, AZ. They
have 12 grandchildren.
The couple
celebrated their anniversary at a dinner with their children and family
in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Also attending the celebration dinner was
David and Romie Willson of Enola, Pennsylvania. Mrs. Garwood and
Mrs. Willson have been pen pals since she was 11 years old and had never
met until Thursday, June 15,2006 where they met at the anniversary
dinner. Brianne Wright of Sand Creek was also in attendance.
Mr. Garwood is
retired from Merillat’s and Mrs. Garwood is retired from the Adrian
Public schools after 17 years as a school bus driver and 5 years as a
Morenci bus driver.
While in
Pennsylvania they attended the wedding of their Grandson, Jason
Garwood and Mary Kulp.
Kids are Having a Ball . . .
at Webster Park in the Hudson Summer Recreation Program. The days are
Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12:00 to 2:00 PM. "There is no cost and the
more kids we have the more fun we have," says Recreation Director
Bill Mullaly.
Pastor Installed at Our Saviour Lutheran
Church
On Sunday, June
25, 2006, Pastor Troy Neujahr was installed as Pastor of Our
Saviour Lutheran Church, Hudson. Pastor Paul Herter of Hope
Lutheran gave the message. Pastor David Gadbaw of Lutheran
Church of the Lakes performed the installation. Following the service,
a dinner and time of fellowship was enjoyed by all.

teacher's wedding (Jodi Dunlap). They sounded wonderful as the
wedding party and the beautiful bride walked down the hill.

Jayme Christine Kingsley Graduates
Commencement
exercises were held Friday, June 9th at the Memorial Coliseum Ft Wayne
IN honoring graduates from
Leo High School.
Among the 154 graduates was Jayme Christine Kingsley. Jayme was
active in sports throughout high school, a member of the National Honor
Society and also received an Academic Honors Diploma graduating 12th in
her class. Jayme has been accepted at
Purdue
University
and will pursue a medical degree. She is the daughter of Scott
and Susan Kingsley of Grabill IN and the granddaughter of the
late Robert and Leota Kingsley.
