THE THEME OF this year's Clayton Summer-Fest was the 100th anniversary of the Clayton Fire Department, which was well represented in the parade, along with other area fire departments.

CLAYTON'S CHELSEA BAKER was named queen of the 2006 Summerfest.

194 runners took the start of the Hudson Booster 5K Cross Country Open last Saturday morning. Joshua Perrin of Hillsdale set a new race record of 16:02.

JOAN MACK of Hudson won the drawing for two years lease of the 2006 Chrysler Minivan offered by a drawing as part of the grand opening celebration of the new Market House. Shown with Mrs. Mack are Market House Manager Tim Sallows and Jerry Smith of CR Motors, which provided the van.
