Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Chilcote Celebrate 50th Anniversary

September 23, 1956
Alice
Lambert
and Gordon Chilcote exchanged their wedding vows. The ceremony
took place at the
United
Methodist Church in Marion, Michigan with the Rev. Earl Stein
officiating. Alice and “Gordie” took up residency in
Hudson,
Michigan in 1961. They are the parents of four children: Gary, Terry,
Randy (Paula) and Renee (Jake). They are also blessed with twelve
grandchildren. The couple is looking forward to celebrating the golden
milestone with their family.
Nicole M. Roney Graduates
Nicole
M. Roney
of Hudson graduated with honors from
Jackson
Community College
on
May 10,2006
with an Associate in General Studies. She will continue her studies at
Spring
Arbor University and will pursue a Bachelor of Exercise and Sport
Science. Nicole is currently employed at Jackson Community College
and is the youth director for
Hanover Horton Church. Nicole is a 2003 graduate of
Hudson
High School and the daughter of Edward and Diana Roney.
Mr. & Mrs. Edward Roney Celebrate 25th Anniversary
Mr.
and Mrs. Edward Roney of
Hudson
celebrated their 25th Wedding Anniversary. Edward Roney and
Diana Shadel were united in marriage on June 27, 1981 by the Rev.
Richard Havens at the Ambrose Baptist Church in Zone, Ohio. They
have four children Nicole (Patrick) Durfey of Manitou Beach,
Noelle Roney, Nathan Roney and Nerissa Roney all from Hudson.
If you know this couple congratulate them and wish them another 25 years
together.
Rupnow Back at West Point
Scott
Rupnow
has competed Cadet Field Training conducted through June and July at
West Point, NY and at Fort Knox, KY. The course exercises prepare the
cadets for the type of warfare currently being experienced in
Afghanistan and Iraq. Upon his successful completion, Scott was
promoted to the rank of Cadet Corporal. Scott achieved the Dean's List
both semesters of his first year and along with his scores in military
and physical training, was ranked 160 out of the 1,152 members of the
class of 2009. He returned to West Point on August 6th to begin
preparations for his second academic year. Known now as "Yuks" or
"Yearlings", each second-year cadet is responsible for the orientation
and mentoring of an incoming "Plebe" (freshman). Scott is also a
running back again this fall on the Army Black Knights sprint football
team.
