June E. Perry of Leslie, formerly of
Hudson, passed away
Sept. 30, 2006 age 75. She was survived by her husband
JC of 55 years; 4 children, Jeffrey (Carol), Morris (Gail), Douglas
(Colleen) and Lawrence; 15 grandchildren, 1 great granddaughter, and 1
sister Janet (Pete) Verbecken.
She was president of the Tuesday Musicale. A member of Trinity Lutheran
Church Cottaguild, sang in the choir, and a Sunday school teacher for 55
years. She graduated from
Eastern
Michigan University and taught at Griswold School.
She was a member of
Faith
Evangelical Lutheran Church. She was an avid gardener, and read the
Bible thoroughly every year for 25 years.
Funeral services were held at Grace Church at 10:00 a.m.,
Wednesday, October 4, 2006 with Reverend Ross Mahan officiating. Burial was
inWoodlawn Cemetery Leslie. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made
to
Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church or the Tuesday Musicale.
Anna M. Henshaw, 91, formerly of Hudson, passed away Sunday, June 4 at a
Largo,
Florida nursing home. She moved to
Clearwater
FL in 1998. She was born
February 4, 1915,
in Sharon, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Benjamin and Bertha (Weir)
Myers. On June 4, 1936 she married John Henshaw, who preceded her in death on
September 21, 1992.
She moved to
Lime
Lake in 1978, having retired from Grogan Chrysler, where she was a
secretary. She enjoyed boating, playing bridge and reading. She was a
member of the Hudson Congregational Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Nancy Ludwin at Clearwater, son John C.
Henshaw of
Clearwater,
two grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and sister Nancy Moore of
Mishawaka, IN.
She was preceded in death by her husband and three brothers.
Private graveside services were held Wednesday, September 27, 2006 at
Prattville Cemetery.
