HUDSON BOYS' CROSS-COUNTRY TEAM


LAST SATURDAY WAS A BIG DAY for the Hudson Boys' Cross-Country Team at Michigan International Speedway, where they finished second in the state in the cross country finals.

 


THE FIELD is very compressed as the boys championship race heads out into the back part of the course at Michigan International Speedway at the Cross-Country finals last weekend.

The Hudson Girls Basketball Team set a milestone Thursday evening when they locked down at least a share of the LCAA Championships for the first time in 32 years.

TRUNK OR TREAT
 


Our
Saviour Lutheran Church held Trunk or Treat on October 29.  Our Saviour Lutheran would like to thank McDonald's, Bob's Market House, Rima Manufacturing, and Bobbye's Pizza for their donations of prizes for Trunk or Treat.

FOX DEPLOYED TO IRAQ


Army National Guard 2nd Lt. Chad M. Fox has deployed to Iraq to support the mission of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Operation Iraqi Freedom is the official name given to military operations involving members of the U.S. armed forces and coalition forces participating in efforts to free and secure Iraq.  Mission objectives focus on force protection, peacekeeping, stabilization, security and counter-insurgency operations as the Iraqi transitional governing bodies assume full sovereign powers to govern the peoples of Iraq. Members from all branches of the U.S. military and multinational forces are also assisting in rebuilding Iraq's economic and governmental infrastructure, and training and preparing Iraqi military and security forces to assume full authority and responsibility in defending and preserving Iraq's sovereignty and independence as a democracy. Fox is a commander normally assigned to Grand Ledge, MI.

He is the son of Lon E. Fox of Comstock St., Adrian, Mich., and Rosemarie Fox of Hemlock St., Hudson. MI. The lieutenant graduated in 2001 from Adrian High School, and received a bachelor's degree in 2005 from Central Michigan University, Mount Pleasant.


NEW PART-TIME POLICE OFFICER

Officer Shawn Sandy has just completed his field training program with the Hudson Police Department. Shawn has attended UNLV of Las Vegas Nevada, Eastern Michigan University, and Henry Ford Community College. Shawn has a Associates Degree in Criminal Justice. He has worked as a corrections officer for the Mound Facility in Detroit 1994-1996, Nevada Capitol Police 1996-2005. Shawn is certified with the State of Michigan through the Michigan Law Enforcement Officers Training Council. He also currently works part-time for Leoni Township Police Department in Jackson County. Shawn is a credit to the law enforcement profession and the citizens of Hudson are very fortunate to have him serving our community. Welcome aboard Shawn.
