Rima Worker of the Month - Chris Weichmann
                          (December 7 2006 Hudson Post-Gazette Publication)

Chris Weichmann has been selected as Rima’s Worker of the Month for September. Chris began working at Rima while he was in high school and then officially joined the Rima Team on August 6, 1990 as a Group I Maintenance Person. Chris then complemented the Acme Team for about 12 years where he served as an Operator and later as a Set Up Person.

In August 2003, Chris moved to the P-Nut Technician position where he serves today. The Worker of the Month award is not new to Chris. In fact, he has received the award on two other occasions; January 1997 and June 2005. Chris was cited on those occasions for continuously striving for high standards for quality, production, and decreased set up time. Chris was praised for going above and beyond the standard for both quality and productivity. Chris continues to build and improve upon those great assets.

Chris was nominated for this award by Production Manager, Tim Stanley. “I have seen a huge growth on Chris’ part in the one year I have been in this area. Chris works hard to insure the success of the team on the Hydromat. He is willing to stay over during set ups to make sure the next shift is fully capable to complete the set up. He is willing to share everything he learns about the machine and goes out of his way to make sure the other guys know what is going on with anything new. Chris works close with me on scheduling the machine so we can be the most productive area possible. Chris takes ownership of the area, works hard to be the best and to help his co-workers be their best.

I greatly appreciate his effort." Production Department Lead, Steve Englehart stated. “Chris has really advanced on knowing the technical aspects of the machine and in doing so he is able to help other workers on the operation of the machine. He has learned electrical, programming and hydraulics. Chris really has a keen sense of how the machine works. I really appreciate the help that Chris provides on the floor. He’s also helpful in Daruma, 38-2, and the vision machine.” Chris and Stephanie reside at Mudd Lake. Chris enjoys softball, golf, fishing, mushroom hunting, trade card collecting, and spending time with Stephanie.
