KIWANIAN KIM MURPHY presents the
Kiwanis Senior of the Month award to Samantha Tennis.

December’s Senior of the Month is Samantha Tennis.  Samantha excels in academics and athletics, and hopes to pursue a college degree that utilizes those talents.

Samantha has been a member of the National Honor Society since her sophomore year.  As a member of the Hudson Cross Country team, she was an LCAA scholar athlete and has achieved making first team all-league.  Samantha was a co-captain of the Cross Country team this year.  She also participates in track, where she has also earned first team all-league recognition.  Samantha has received all-state honors in both sports.

She took part in the all-school play for two years, and has been a Girl Scout for four years.  In 2005, Samantha won a speaker award in the school debate tournament. 

She volunteered as a Lunch Buddy for one year, a lent a hand for the Special Olympics for three years. 

Samantha has not yet decided on a college, but she hopes to pursue a career in sports exercise and science.

Samantha is the daughter of Steve and Sherry Tennis of Hudson.
