Joined by Chamber President Dave Sheely and City Manager Frank Goodroe,
the Hall family cuts the ribbon to open
DZ Laser Tag in the former Metalloy Technical building at 116 W.
Main St. Laser tag isn't the only thing on the menu here -- a two screen
movie theatre is planned for spring.
There
is a cool new place in Hudson where laser beams, pumping techno music,
and fog machines fill the air. Kids, teens and adults can be found
throughout the week having a wild time shooting each other with state of
the art Q-Zar laser technology at
DZ Laser Tag, located at the former Metalloy Technical building
at 116 W. Main Street. The Entrance is around back with plenty of
parking.
The hours open to
the public are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 3p.m.8p.m. Friday from
3p.m. to 10 and Saturday from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. The cost is five dollars
a game which is two dollars less than the big cities, and the game
experience lasts 20-25 minutes.
While waiting for a
group's turn to play there are arcade video games and a concessions
featuring candy, nachos, Coke products, Starbucks coffee and Eden
organic popcorn -- "Yes we have the butter flavor to pour on top" says
owner Rob Hall.
"We do birthday
parties, youth groups, and work parties," Hall adds. "Take on your
friends, your employees, and prepare to have a blast. Plans are under
way to start both an adult and kid leagues as well as school field trips
incorporating laser light and mazes. So come on in and play a game -- it
can be quite a work out.
