A fund raiser was held last Saturday night for the Hudson Public Library.  All of the 106 guests stepping into the Hudson Community Center were transformed back into medieval times to the “Castle Carnegie”.  The guests were entertained by a local group of actors who were trying to solve the murder of the castle jester “Mr. Minute”.  Even Queen “E” (Jan Rickard) was a suspect.  The cast also included a meddling monk (Dennis Smoke), The Pied-eyed Piper (Joshua Stiverson), Sir Prancealot (Dave Rickard), Bishop Sfinger (Rev. Mark Johnston), Lady MacIntosh (Denise Handy),  William Shake-N-Vac (Rick Handy), Miss Kitty (Mary Jean Baker), Mystic Margarita (Abby Smoke), Maid Intaiwan (Alica Laeder),  Joan of Carp (Cathy Schoonover), the Black Knight (Zander Stiverson), the Jester’s apprentices, Cassee Milligan and Zoee Davis, and the castle musician , Dr. James Spencer. Solving the mystery proved to be a night of fun and laughter.  The castle cooks (Mary Tanner and Bonnie Roan) created a wonderful medieval dinner consisting of Scotch Eggs, Soup in a bread bowl, chicken and ribs, and sweet cakes accompanied by “grog”.  No utensils were used during the meal making the evening a bit more entertaining.
