Three years ago bowling became an official high school sport in Michigan. This year Hudson has organized their first Tiger team. Each match usually consists of two baker games and two head to head games. In a baker game, frames are alternated between five bowlers against the opposing school. The first bowler rolls the first and sixth frames, the second bowler rolls the second and seventh frames etc. Each baker game is worth four points, and the combined pin fall of both are worth two points. Then they move on to two team games that are worth four points each, with an extra two points for combined pinfall. In these two games each bowler competes one on one against an opposing team member. These head to head games are worth one point each. There are thirty possible points in each match.

Head coach Mike Brown and assistant coach Mike Glanzman led the Tigers to a victory their first match against the Morenci Bulldogs. Margaret Brockway led with an intimidating strike in the first frame followed by strikes from Drew Kingsley in the third, Kyle Dunne in the Seventh, Derek Gabler in the ninth and three strikes in the tenth frame from Wes Miler, to defeat Morenci 169 to 138. Hudson also won the second baker game with strikes in the second and seventh from Devin Borck, Drew added strikes in the third and eighth, Derek in the fourth and Wes in the fifth and tenth for a score of 197 to 149. In the head to head matches single points were scored by Kyle, Devin, Drew, Wes and Derek who had the match high game of 220. The final score was Hudson 27, Morenci 3.

The Tigers next match was against the Tecumseh Indians. Hudson was defeated in the first baker game. Tecumseh rolled a 195 game to the Tigers 142. Hudson then bounced back winning the second baker 172 to 162. Margaret, Derek and Wes contributed strikes. Wes gained the only head to head point defeating his opponent with a 237 game
