Roger Sizemore
has been selected as ‘Rima’s January Worker of the Month. Roger joined
the Rima Team on February 15, 1988 as an Acme Operator. In September
1993, Roger moved to the Index Team. In August 1997 he moved to New
Projects Set Up Leader in Index. From there, Roger moved to Supervision
in the Automatics and served in this capacity from August 2000 until his
latest move in October 2005 Roger accepted the position of Rima’s
Estimator.
Roger was
nominated for the Worker of the Month honor by Debi Odette.
“Roger does a great job of matching our processes with customer
expectations. He can easily determine whether or not our machines are
capable of producing parts as required. Roger is a vast wealth of
machining knowledge and understands his skill very well. An important
part of understanding your skill level is admitting when the technical
requirements exceed your expertise. Roger is not afraid to admit when he
needs help and on those occasions, Roger works well with the cell
technicians to determine our capabilities. It is for these reasons we
can trust every quote produced by Roger.”
Production
Manager, Rick Davis agreed. “Having Roger as the Estimator is a
good fit with his machining knowledge and knowing what machines to quote
the work on to run its best is a good match. Roger’s machining abilities
are a huge plus, because he knows what it takes to run the parts through
the process from start to finish. It is a good feeling knowing that
Roger will be quoting the work for us as if he had to run it himself.
Keep up the good work Roger You are doing a great job!”’
Production
Manager, Tim Stanley added. “Roger is a great team member. He
talks to the technicians and the operators and uses their information
and input to formalize the quotes. He is very knowledgeable about all
facets of machining. The respect and trust that Roger has built is part
of why he is so effective in his role. The Machining Area is glad to be
on the same team as Roger.”
APQP Leader,
Kristi Galvan reiterated, “I’ve worked with Roger for several years
now. Roger is a very hard worker. He is very thorough and always wants
to make sure he does the best job possible. Roger is a pleasure to work
with and I think that he is very deserving of this honor.
Congratulations Roger!”
Roger and Kay
reside in Adrian. They have five children and seven grandchildren.
Roger enjoys
hunting, fishing, woodworking, and riding his four-wheeler. He
especially likes it when it snows so that he can go around the
neighborhood and clean out his neighbor’s driveways.
