Charity Troutt receives the Kiwanis Senior of the Month
award from Kiwanian Jason Decker.
Charity was named
to the National Honor Society in her sophomore year, and is secretary of
the organization this year. She is currently also talking classes at
Siena Heights University in Adrian. Charity was a Science Olympiad
member when she was a freshman and was on the Quiz Bowl team last year.
She also volunteered her time in tenth grade as an NHS tutor. Charity is
secretary for the Class of 2008, a position she has held since her
sophomore year. A band member throughout all four years of high school,
Charity was named to the Lenawee County Honors Band this year. Charity
also has enjoyed high school sports. She is a four-year member of the
Varsity Track and Field team. And she ran Varsity Cross Country during
her first two years in high school. Charity participated in the last two
all-school plays - Guys and Dolls and High School Musical. A Special
Olympics volunteer for two years, Charity has also volunteered with Big
Brothers/Big Sisters the last two years and the Boys and Girls Club this
year. Charity has been instrumental this year in creating a Power Point
presentation that is used at cheer meets to display each schools name,
colors, mascot and scores. The presentation will be used for many years
to come. Charity plans to attend Oakland University in the fall,
majoring in English. She is the daughter of Luz and David Lehl
of Hudson. Congratulations Charity, March senior of the month.
