Make a Difference Day
For
Make a Difference Day October 26th & 27th the NHS teamed up with the
Boys and Girls Club to collect items for the Ronald McDonald House. The
Ronald McDonald House works to better the lives of children and their
families around the world. The Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC)
collects the basic necessities that people may need when they stay at a
Ronald McDonald House. Families who have children with illnesses are
able to stay at the Ronald McDonald House when their child is getting
treatment. The Ronald McDonald House supplies everything from food to
toiletries for families in need in the area. The house provides a place
to escape the stress and tension of the hospital atmosphere. Thank you
to all of the students and parents that brought in items. The winning
class was Mrs. Ellen Fitch with Miss Lautenschlager’s classroom coming
right behind. We collected over 760 items in a week. Students from the
NHS that promoted this campaign are pictured here: Front row, Mara
Lyons, Katie Grob, Taylor Haber, and Jenna Borck. Back row Aleah
Reese, Casey Henning, Chelsea Brasher, EmIly Austin, Sheila Komarynski,
Andrew Osborn. Not pictured are Kyle Hillard, Jill Hartley advisor of
NHS, and Bonnie Dunne - advisor of Boy’s and Girls Club.lib
