Ed Potter
has been a part of the family owned newspaper since his
earliest years and served as editor for over 40. He and his father,
Harvey, were business partners until his father retired. A great
uncle, Stanley Stone, had previously owned the business since 1908.
Ed together with his late wife Katy enjoyed numerous vacations
traveling around the
U.S. but the most
pleasurable were at their Indian River cottage where he continues to
spend time each summer. A member of the Hudson First Baptist
Church, Ed remains active too in the affairs of the newspaper. If
he's not out some where fishing perhaps you can reach him at the
Hudson Post Gazette!

Wes Boyd has been on the job as managing editor for many years
and long enjoyed a career in the news room.
Wes and his wife Kathy have one daughter, Amanda. A person of varied
interests at one time he was a certified flight instructor and held a
commercial pilot rating. The North Country Trail found Wes serving
as editor of its hiking publication for a number of years. Wes,
from time to time contributes thoughts to his column
'Keyboard Trails'. He
enjoys
kayaking and his "Greatest Trip of a Lifetime" was to the Grand Canyon
in 2003.

Bookkeeper |

Pauline Garr
has been a staff member for many years and along the way
has worn several hats attributed to the business, including
advertising manager and in recent years that of bookkeeper. She and
her late husband Dick have four children, seven grandchildren and
now one great grandchild. A member of Sacred Heart Parish, Pauline
also is active in the Hudson Woman's Club. She enjoys movies and
traveling but she says her greatest love is reserved for her
grandchildren.

Bill Mullaly,
45, has been a sports reporter for the past 16 years. He
began writing about high school sports in
Arizona in 1989
as a part-time job. He was a teacher and coach in AZ from 1981-1996.
Over the years he has written for four newspapers. Two of them have
been daily papers and the other have been weekly papers. Bill has
been with the Hudson Post Gazette writing about Hudson High School
athletics since the fall of 1997. He currently writes for the
Hillsdale Daily News where he started in the fall of 1996. Bill is
an alternative educator director for the Homer Schools where he has
worked since the fall of 1996. He also is a high school sports
official a job he has held since the fall of 1996. Finally, in the
summer he is the Hudson recreation director a position he has held
since the summer of 1998. Bill is single and enjoys sports,
exercising, reading and spending time with his dog Bear. |
